Project details
Channel Coast Corporation performed demolition of the historic brick Arbor and Trellis. All the existing bricks were salvaged, cleaned and reused to match the historic appearance. New Concrete Caissons, CMU Columns and Structural Steel were installed and are concealed inside of Brick Veneer to meet current earthquake requirements. New site Retaining Walls, walkways and Stairs were build and the same Brick Veneer was installed to match the look of the Columns. New Trelliswork and Benches were built and installed to match the historic appearance.
CCC also performed work to repair existing damaged historic Window Shutters and
Window Oriels. This required Channel Coast to fabricate and install new Shutter parts and distress them to match the existing historic appearance to blend in on old pieces and completely build new Shutters for Windows that were missing original pieces completely. These Shutters were built out of Redwood and distressed by hand to achieve the desired finish. CCC also fabricated and installed new Spindles to match originals on the damaged Widow Oriels as well as building completely new Window Oriels where they were too damaged to repair.
